When the child was still in the pregnancy, the doctors had warned them that she might not be healthy. The couple, nevertheless, faced challenges and welcomed their daughter.

She was identified as having severe obstructive sleep apnoea at the age of six months. It is a breathing ailment that occurs during sleep and causes breathing to stop and start.

Jo revealed that at the time, her baby experienced 40 episodes of insufficient oxygen per hour. She continued by saying that her child, who has experienced numerous difficulties since she was a child, is a walking miracle.

Her cleft palate was also healed after they gave her many treatments. In the year 2022, she has begun high school and is now 13 years old.

Jo shared her worries about raising a teenager as a mother. She discussed how she regularly talks to her daughter about respect in an article for House of Wellness.

She had already admitted that she had been a bad parent in The Sydney Herald Morning. Willo, who was eight at the time, was described as charming, courteous, and nice by her mother. She was concerned that if she did not alter her parenting style, her child might develop into a loner narcissist by the time he or she turned 20.

As a result, the ambassador for Stop it at the Start interacts with her daughter about the little things that happen in her everyday life and talks to her about what it is to be a person. She also teaches her about respect.
