Jason Aldean Family: Know About His Background
When Jason Aldean was only three years old, his family went through a devastating breakup.
The singer was born in Georgia on February 28, 1977. He was raised by his mother in Macon and also spent the summers with his father in Homestead, Florida. Most of his formative years were spent with his sister.
While Jason’s father was at work, he practiced all day. Just before his son left for work, the father would then illustrate guitar chords on paper to demonstrate proper finger placement.
He took out his guitar when he got home and started jamming with his dad. A song simply required a few listens for him to be able to play it. His earliest faves included Hank Williams Jr.’s “The Blues Man” and Alabama’s “My Home’s in Alabama.”
A recording deal was offered to Aldean, but it was later rescinded. He was fired in 2000 after switching to a rival company because his label kept delaying recording sessions.

Early life
On February 28, 1977, Jason Aldine Williams was born in the city of Macon in the state of Georgia. At the age of three, his parents went their separate ways. In Macon, Georgia, he was reared by his mother, but during the school breaks he traveled to Homestead, Florida, to spend time with his father. His father would diagram guitar chords on notebook paper before leaving for work so that he could show his son where to place his fingers in order to play the chords on the guitar. While his father was at work, Jason would sit at the kitchen table and practice guitar all day. As soon as his dad arrived home, he pulled out his own guitar, and the two of them started playing together. Soon, he would be able to perform a song after having only briefly listened to it. His early favorites included “The Cowboy Rides Away” by George Strait, “The Blues Man” by Hank Williams Jr., and “My Home’s in Alabama” by Alabama.
Young Aldean was supported musically by both of his parents as he developed throughout the years. After seeing the country music awards on television when he was only 14 years old, he had the desire to perform on stage ever since. In Macon, he gave a performance at the local VFW hall with the assistance of his mother. He sang John Anderson and Tracy Lawrence’s songs, “Seminole Wind” and “Sticks and Stones,” respectively. After that, he started giving performances at regional talent shows and community fairs. At the age of 15, he became a member of the “house band” at the Georgia watering hole Nashville South.
To differentiate himself from others, Aldean altered the spelling of his middle name, which was originally Aldine, to create the moniker Aldean.
