2020 season
In his first game with the Colts, Blankenship kicked two extra points and two of three field goals against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who went on to win only one game all season, a 27-20 defeat. A 39-yard game-winning field goal by Blankenship in Week 11’s 34-31 victory over the Green Bay Packers earned him the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honour. By the end of the regular season, Blankenship had made 32 of 37 field goal attempts, with a long of 53 yards, and 43 of 45 extra point attempts. In the first round of the playoffs, in a 27-24 loss to the Buffalo Bills, Blankenship made one of his two field goal attempts and kicked the extra point on his only other chance.
2021 season
Before being placed on injured reserve due to a hip injury on October 16, 2021, Blankenship played the Colts’ first five games.
2022 season
On September 11, Blankenship went 2-for-3 on field goals in the Colts’ season opener vs the Houston Texans. He also kicked two kickoffs out of bounds and missed a possible game-winning 42-yard field goal in overtime as the game finished in a 20-20 tie. On September 13, two days later, he was released.
