Matt was the first person to play Gordon Robinson on Sesame Street, a show for kids that airs on PBS.
Sesame Street is an adventure, animation, and comedy show for kids. It takes place on a unique inner-city street where the people and puppets who live there teach preschoolers through jokes, cartoons, games, and music.
Robinson did more than just give Gordon’s voice when Sesame Street started in 1969. He was also one of the show’s creators and gave Roosevelt Franklin’s voice.

During the early 1970s, he wrote the scripts for Sanford and Son and Eight Is Enough, made the movies Save the Children and Amazing Grace, and wrote the books that went with them. In 1983, he started working on The Cosby Show on NBC as a producer and staff writer.
At that point, the actor was already showing signs of Parkinson’s disease, but he worked on the show for another seven seasons, despite the problems.

She first showed up on TV on the show Sesame Street. She remembers that when she was six, she always said “Hi, Daddy” instead of “Hi, Gordon,” which was the name of his character. Robinson also had a short career as a singer and recording artist. He sang the opening song for the movie 21 Jump Street.
